This ancient Chinese martial art combines slow and gentle movements with focused attention. During this accessible class for all abilities, participants are guided through visually and vocally descriptive cues and have the option to sit or stand throughout. These sessions are suitable for those who have limited mobility, are in a wheelchair, or who are blind or have low vision.
Chairs are provided; bring water and dress comfortably to be outside. Ages 16 and up. Space is limited, and preregistration is required.
This program occurs on the first Thursday evening of the month September–November and will return in the spring. It is taught by Tish Oakley of Earth Monkey Energies. For questions or help registering, email bryanne.senor@ncdcr.gov.
