Crafting Nature’s Canvas: Building a Native Garden with Brie Arthur

Description

Whether you are a seasoned gardening enthusiast or just starting out, this presentation offers insights and inspiration for everyone to garden with the amazing variety of native plants North Carolina has to offer. Join local horticulturist Brie Arthur for an engaging discussion that unravels the art of constructing a native garden from its inception.

Through immersive storytelling, Arthur walks you through a step-by-step process that includes plant selection, layout, and finding an overarching vision to create a haven of tranquility and vitality. Prepare to be amazed by the power of diverse native species that require minimal upkeep but deliver maximum impact! With knowledge of flowering perennials and lush greenery, from full sun to shade, you’ll discover a space that epitomizes low-maintenance elegance and ecological harmony.

This is an in-person presentation; you will be seated throughout, and there is no hands-on component. No food is provided, but you may bring light refreshments to enjoy quietly throughout the program.

Art in Bloom floral installations in West Building are ticketed separately.

Parking will be crowded; arrive early to allow time for parking and walking to East Building.
