The NCMA offers educators a course on the connections between art and science. Participants explore topics through inquiry-based learning in an online community while gaining valuable classroom connections. The course is self-paced, and each topic should take around three hours to complete (15 hours for the entire course). The course is available May 7 through August 6.
Course topics:
- Art and the Science of Looking
- Art and Systems
- Art and Physics
- Art and Ecology
- Art and Nature
The course is aligned with the K–8 North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Visual Art and Science. It is open to educators of all disciplines and audiences. The course can provide a certificate of participation for up to 15 hours if all five topics are completed (0.3–1.5 CEU, with approval from your local school system). More info on course topics.
Tickets go on sale March 14 at 10 am for this event. Please contact our Visitor Experience Department at help@ncartmuseum.org for more information.
