Please note: this three-part class meets on April 10, 17, and 24.

Join choreographer Frankie Lee for a three-week dance class that examines the NCMA's exhibition To Take Shape and Meaning: Form and Design in Contemporary American Indian Art. The class will explore movement and dance as expressed by several North Carolina tribes while representing five themes from the exhibition: Place of Being, Rootedness, Genealogy, Encoded Commentary, and Revival and Evolution.

Participants are encouraged to come to class in athletic wear (no jeans) and bring water bottles for hydration.
