The evolution of diseases and their role in human history can be discovered through archaeological evidence provided by the study of mummies. This is done using traditional autopsy procedures and sophisticated CT and MRI analyses. Michael R. Zimmerman, MD, PhD of Villanova University discusses historical and theoretical issues and his own experience studying and learning from Egyptian mummies.

This virtual lecture is part of Golden Mummies of Egypt exhibition educational programming.
