“I am forever chasing light. Light turns the ordinary into the magical.”—Trent Parke

In this two-part workshop, participants are challenged to discover new ways of capturing landscapes, portraits, and other types of photography with light in mind. In Part 1 professional photographer Mick Schulte will share inspiration from masters of light and teach you ways to find light to make magic out of the ordinary. You will then have a week to put your new skills into practice and capture images to share.

In Part 2 the class will review images from each participant and discuss the various forms of light used. You will be ready to find art and inspiration in the world around you after taking this course.

For ages 16 and up. All skill levels and types of cameras are welcome, including smartphones and nondigital cameras.
