This month’s selection is the Mexican documentary film Takeda, about Japanese painter Shinzaburo Takeda. Our special guest moderator for the discussion is Alex Piñeres, co-founder of the Cine Casual Film Series.  The Cine Casual Film Series, founded by Giovanna Torres and Alex Piñeres, is a recent initiative screening award-winning Latin American films in Charlotte, N.C. They are the team behind cinecasual.com, an outlet dedicated to Ibero-American cinema, started in 2016.
