Whether you have always wanted to learn how to play West African drums, are a novice, or are looking for a place to practice your skills, djembe drum instructor Robert J. Corbitt III has created this class with you in mind.

Join Corbitt for a 50-minute class designed to cultivate your comfort on the djembe and dundun as well as expand your knowledge of African-originated rhythms and tempos that have spread throughout the African diaspora.

The class from noon–12:50 pm is for children living with autism spectrum disorder. Space is limited.

Please note: Corbitt holds this class at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem on May 7, August 20, and November 5. For registration, visit secca.org.

Tickets go on sale March 24 at 10 am for this event. Please contact our Visitor Experience Department at help@ncartmuseum.org for more information.
