Creative Processing is a series for all ages to reflect together on big (and sometimes tough) ideas about the world and ourselves through art.

The collective weight of current events can evoke an array of emotions—from sadness to anger to apathy. Gather together in community for a workshop that includes guided group conversations with an expressive arts therapist, grounding and mindfulness exercises, and hands-on art-making projects as an outlet for processing emotions.

This workshop takes place outside at the Welcome Center in the Museum Park.

 About the instructor

Natalia Torres del Valle, LCMHCA, is an expressive arts psychotherapist passionate about helping children find meaningful ways of communicating beyond words. In addition to many years of teaching at the Museum, she received a BS in elementary education and ESL education from NC State and an MA in clinical mental health, specializing in expressive arts therapy, from Lesley University.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 27 at 10 am for this event. Please contact our Visitor Experience Department at help@ncartmuseum.org for more information.
