Nomadland (2020). Directed by Chloé Zhao, 108 min., R

Based on Jessica Bruder’s book Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century, this film tells the story of Fern (Frances McDormand), a middle-aged woman who packs her van and sets off on the road as a modern-day nomad after the economic collapse of her hometown in rural Nevada. Throughout her journey, she meets other nomads who become her mentors amidst the vast and breathtaking landscape of the American West. Nomadland is a fascinating celebration of humanity, independence, and adventure.

Audio description for people with blindness or low vision is provided for this film by Arts Access, Inc. Headsets are available at the Arts Access table just inside the Amphitheater entrance.
